Happy Mother's Day

Yep, my guys know the sort of maths I used to teach.
So wherever you are in the world, I hope Dads and offspring are treating the hard-working Mums to whatever it is that floats her boat. Even if that means she has control of the remote, or gets to spend a couple of hours doing exactly what she wants to.

Who Stole January?
Normally, I blame it on ABNA, but yet again there wasn't one this year.Nope, January was sacrificed on the altar of finishing a book. Big Bad Wolf, the third in the Hostage trilogy was a long time reaching the final post. Almost a year since 16th Feb 2015, but what a year!
Partly it's to do with not wanting to finish with these characters. I have loved living with them for so long; I first met Ginny in the late 70's when I was still in my teens. She's had a few makeovers since then to become the much wiser (and more worldly-wise) character who's finally laying to rest that peach-flavoured bath which got interrupted all those years ago. Although in her time-line, it's only a few months.
So, after completing the last scene on 24th January @ 12:44pm, I've spent an intense week trying to fix everything I broke when I wrote it. I'd just like to give a huge shout-out to my editor, Hannah Sullivan, for pointing out the obvious and helping me to re-structure and tighten. We've lost dirty-great wedges of back-story where this host of new voices up to the mic detailed their side of things in the previous two operations my ramshackle SAS team went through.
Thanks guys, good to know, but can we have some forward motion please? That's the trouble with co-stars who get boosted up to starring roles. They think you need to know about their journey to the top. Of course some bits are interesting, but come on guys, keep it short and sweet.
Ok, back to the sword-work. Thought I'd give you a bit of a teaser by revealing some of the fabulous cover the wonderful Rebecca Sterling has got going on. Can you guess which country they end up in? What would I do without these magical, talented ladies around me?

Triple Jeopardy - a naughty book at a naughty price
For 19-20th November, this “well-written, humorous and insightful work about contemporary life in the United Kingdom” is available to download for FREE in US and UK. So you can read three tales of different girls, set in the rockin' 70's, big-hair 80's and booming 90's.
But that's not the end of it. Another Amazon reviewer said: “Although each story is separate and has it's own characters (and decade) there is a similar theme to all of them - relationships gone horribly wrong. I wish there were two more stories to bring it to this decade. It is definitely a theme that has teeth.”
Which set my mind off wandering to a particular event which made my decade (you gotta love the naughties - 2000-2009). With a working title of "An Englishwoman in New York," you probably get the idea. Watch out for more news coming soon.

Now she does. Except there's already a RoGreen and a RowannaGreen, so I had to content myself with RoGreen13.Got a nice ring to it, though.
Yep - this is how I see the twitter blue bird - not that bland, wimpy thing they have as their banner. Anyway, from now on, in addition to this blog and my facebook personal and business pages, I now have to get to grips with the whole tweeting thing. The only thing I can say with any certainty, is that it will be like the preverbial bus - nothing for ages, then three come all at once.

Promo Crazy
Blimey O'Reilly. What a month.While I've been busy holing myself away in remote Welsh locations, trying to type up the 36K words I've written for Big Bad Wolf (and researching like crazy on cultures which are totally alien to my way of thinking), those World Wise Writer ladies have been giving it large.
